Hunter joins board
Nov 22, 2012
Well known business entrepreneur Sharon Hunter has joined corporate advisory and finance firm Cranleigh as an independent director.
Sharon brings extensive entrepreneurial and business experience comprising high growth companies, private equity partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions in leveraged environments. She is passionate about company culture development and strategic social responsibility partnerships.
Cranleigh has a strong and vibrant company culture that underpins its relationships with commercial and government customers. I am looking forward to being part of the next phase of growth and development for Cranleigh particularly as the company grows its Australasian presence.
Sharon is a shareholder and director of Hunter Powell Investment Partners, the largest non-institutional shareholder in Hirepool and NZ Rental group. Throughout 2009-2011 Sharon was part of a government appointed Leverage and Legacy advisory board overseeing the wider business, festival and strategic goals of the Rugby World Cup. In 2011 Sharon accepted a position on the investment advisory board of the Primary Growth Partnership, a government private enterprise partnership to advance the primary sector.
Last year, with Tenby Powell, she started the New Zealand SME Business Network with a vision to provide a voice for small business owners and their advisers. The network aims to create a more positive business environment for growth and build a network of influence with a consistent approach to Government through strategic and practical leadership thinking.
Sharon is a trustee of the Starship Foundation.
